NBDF developed these activities for hematologists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who prescribe therapies for individuals with hemophilia and von Willebrand disease.
These trainings, which were held on a live Zoom platform from April 2022 - May 2023, focused on emerging clinical issues including topics in:
- Novel non-factor treatment modalities for hemophilia A and B
- Improved clinical management of women diagnosed with a bleeding disorder
The faculty delivering these interactive ‘learning exchanges’ are all experts in the field.
The content was informed by two surveys that examined knowledge and awareness of current clinical practice, and identified the educational gaps and needs for these subject areas among a sample of hematology prescribers. Live participation had been limited to foster quality discussions among clinicians.
