About Dr. William Archibald:
Bill Archibald is currently chief fellow of the Hematology & Medical Oncology Fellowship program at the University of Rochester. After completing his undergraduate studies in accounting at the University of Notre Dame, he spent five years working in public accounting prior to completing a postbaccalaureate program at Bryn Mawr College and subsequently attending medical school at the University of Rochester. He then trained in internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After completion of his internal medicine residency, he returned to the University of Rochester for his hematology-oncology fellowship. A native of Western New York, he is passionate about the care of patients with hematologic disorders in his native area. His research and clinical interests include delivering high-quality, cost-effective care for patients with a focus on the intersection of the immune system and classical hematologic disorders. Upon completion of his fellowship, he will be joining the classical hematology faculty of the University of Rochester Medical Center. He and his wife, Lindsay, an endocrinologist, enjoy spending their time hiking, cooking, and caring for their recently bought farmette.
