On Thursday, October 9, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that Medicare Part B premiums and deductibles will not increase for 2015. Medicare rates are reviewed each year and this represents the third year in a row that premiums and deductibles for this program remain unchanged. As a result, the Medicare Part B premium for 2015 will remain at $104.90 and the deductible will remain at $147.00. For Part B beneficiaries who have income-related premium payments, those rates will remain the same as 2014 levels. This announcement is great news for the bleeding disorders community.
