The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) will be hosting the Hemophilia A and Inhibitor Symposium on Monday, May 18, 2015, at its research building in Columbus, OH. The symposium, which is focused on inhibitors to factor VIII (FVIII), is primarily targeted to researchers and physicians from relevant fields, including hematology and immunology. It is also open to nurses, pharmacists and other hemophilia treatment center providers.
“Inhibitors to FVIII: Translating the Bench to Bedside” will highlight emerging information for basic, translational and clinical researchers who are involved with patients affected by anti-factor VIII antibodies. The goal of the conference is to offer a forum to discuss cutting-edge science, current and potential methodologies of inhibitor evaluation, dialogue about bio repositories of relevant clinical specimens and offer discussion points of the recent medical literature regarding inhibitor development.
There is no charge for the conference, which is all inclusive for the first 75 academic registrants.
