On Monday, January 27, 2025, the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) took a strong stand for patient affordability as Bill Robie, Senior Director of Government Relations, testified before the North Dakota legislature in support of House Bill 1216.
This critical legislation aims to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs and introduces important updates to self-insurance health care plans. For individuals living with bleeding disorders, access to life-saving treatments is essential, and high out-of-pocket costs can create significant barriers to care.
NBDF remains committed to advocating for policies that improve affordability and access for the bleeding disorders community nationwide. Our efforts, alongside community voices and legislative partners, help drive meaningful changes in health care policy.
