Policymakers in Washington, DC and in states have been active in responding to the COVID-19 emergency over the last several weeks and NHF has been equally active in advocating on behalf of the bleeding disorders community. COVID-19 is having a wide ranging effect on Americans, and we have worked on issues ranging from the need for paid leave for families, to increased patient protections for health insurance, to the need for adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) so that plasma donation can continue during the epidemic.
