The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and Medscape are pleased to announce that the 61st American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting & Exposition in December will feature an exciting preconference symposium on gene therapy for hemophilia.
In Moving Beyond Factor: Shifting the Paradigm in Hemophilia Through Gene Therapy, an international panel of experts will review the science underlying therapy strategies, provide updates on the latest data for agents in development, and critically evaluate the potential role gene therapy may play in patient care, both now and in the future. This activity, which is presented through a collaboration between NHF and Medscape, is intended for hematologists, pediatric hematologists, and all members of the clinical care team involved in the care of patients with hemophilia. The symposium is supported by educational grants from BioMarin, uniQure and Spark Therapeutics.
Moving Beyond Factor: Shifting the Paradigm in Hemophilia Through Gene Therapy will be held at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 12:30pm ET.
