After you have made your changes then click the highlight icon on the toolbar to remove the yellow highlighting. These are guidelines and are not meant to take the place of our institution's policies and procedures.
Emergency Alert Card Templates
Emergency treatment wallet cards are valuable resources for patients with bleeding disorders. These cards provide quick access to critical medical information pertaining to emergency treatment in a patient with a bleeding disorder. The card provides an opportunity to improve patient safety by ensuring that healthcare providers have easy access to vital health information when an unexpected injury or event occurs and also provides enhanced continuity of care allowing emergency providers information to reach primary specialty care teams. These cards do not replace the benefit of medical consultation from the primary team; however, they provide a quick and easy reference to initiate care. The following 7 card templates are available for your use. This card should be completed by the primary specialty care team at a patient’s hemophilia treatment center. The card should be updated at least annually and when any pertinent change in care is provided. The following is a list of available emergency treatment card templates based on bleeding disorder diagnosis:
Camp Nursing Guidelines
The Nursing Working Group encourages submissions from as many nurses as possible, regardless of their level of expertise. Presenters with limited speaking experience will have the option to be paired with a mentor who will guide them in developing and presenting their case study.
