Our greatest asset at NHF is the community we serve, our family of staff and volunteers. We are aware of the general concerns in the community about the COVID-19 outbreak and how this may impact your decision to attend the educational conferences that NHF hosts in the coming months.
NHF has been and will continue to follow all recommendations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including travel restrictions. At the present time, there are no recommendations that would impact domestic travel; however, we recognize and understand the concern and apprehension of our community members, staff and volunteers. In addition, there is no recommendation for NHF to cancel our in-person meetings such as the upcoming Chapter Leadership Summit and the Inhibitor Summits.
Above all, the safety and security of you and your family is our greatest concern. Routine hygiene procedures should be emphasized during this time.
What we can all do: Stay informed. It’s important to process the considerable information we’re all receiving in a balanced and thoughtful way. With that in mind, worrying or panicking in response to the overwhelming amount of information can create stress in the body, which is known to compromise immunity. Boost your immune system. Now more than ever, it’s essential to prioritize your health and well-being, and do all you can to boost your immune system so you’re as healthy as possible.
NHF will continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding COVID-19 and provide regular updates to our community, staff and volunteers as information from the CDC becomes available.
Please note this matter is evolving and subject to change per CDC guidance, and we will keep you posted.
