STATEMENT FROM DR. LEONARD A. VALENTINO (NHF CEO) ON WORLD HEMOPHILIA DAY
On World Hemophilia Day this year (April 17, 2022), the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) offers its support and gratitude to its impressive global partners, including the World Federation of Hemophilia, European Haemophilia Consortium, European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders, the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and others. Together, as part of the worldwide inheritable blood and bleeding disorders community, NHF works together with these organizations and others to increase access, affordability, and equity for all.
NHF is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for people and families in the U.S. and abroad. It is our organizational belief that a world without blood or bleeding disorders begins with research. With all the scientific progress made in the last few decades, World Hemophilia Day is a bellwether of how far we’ve come, and a symbol of the novel research still yet to be discovered.
World Hemophilia Day is a moment of unity. Together, we unite in hope and commit to a future without inheritable blood and bleeding disorders worldwide. NHF is proud to have a part in this important day.
