The National Hemophilia Foundation will hold the first annual Victor Grifols Roura Medical Preconference Symposium at its 71st Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference on Thursday, October 3, 2019 in Anaheim, CA.
This three-hour symposium will focus on Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia, offering a comprehensive ‘bench to bedside’ review of the inherited platelet disorder. Topics to be covered will include advancements in our scientific understanding of platelet signaling and new genomic and proteomic approaches to diagnosis, in addition to the treatment challenges of managing pregnancy and delivery in women and future research into curative options such as transplants and gene therapy.
Dr. Meera Chitlur, Barnhart-Lusher Hemostasis Research Endowed Chair and Professor of Pediatrics at Wayne State University and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan will serve as moderator for this symposium.
This symposium is available to registered attendees of NHF’s Bleeding Disorders Conference at no additional cost. Lunch will be provided.
