Patient Services, Inc. (PSI), a Virginia-based charitable organization that helps individuals living with chronic conditions, has transitioned its bleeding disorders Patient Services Items program (PSIp) to the Hemophilia Federation of America’s (HFA) Helping Hands Emergency Assistance. The change went into effect on April 3, 2012.
PSI has provided medically necessary items to the bleeding disorders community through PSIp since 2003. According to the PSI news release, “HFA aids hundreds of families with emergency funding to assist in crisis situations such as housing, transportation, and utility bills. As a result of their extensive experience serving the bleeding disorders community, HFA understands the value of the items program and will continue providing these services.”
PSIp is made possible through donations from CVS Caremark, Specialty Therapeutic Care and the University of California, San Francisco Adult Hemophilia Treatment Center. All services provided through PSIp are now available by contacting HFA: 1.800.230.9797.
