Nearly 3,000 people followed the sun and the fun, heading to NHF’s 68th Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, July 21-23. Some even stayed a few extra days to attend the World Federation of Hemophilia’s World Congress July 24-28—the first time it had been held in the US in more than 20 years.
What people saw and heard was embedded in this year’s theme, “A Brighter Future Together.” Educational sessions that packed the house included the exciting results to date on several gene therapy trials and the importance of understanding your half-life. More time and space was devoted to individuals and families living with von Willebrand disease (VWD). And more than a dozen sessions were simultaneously translated into Spanish.
Once again, Biogen sponsored the fantastic Final Night Event—a block party at Universal CityWalk. Food and music, fun and games, and park rides were available to all who attended.
