NHF hosted a successful benefit gala--the Spring Soiree--on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Astra in NYC. The event raised more than $290,000 with 200 guests in attendance.
This cocktail reception paid tribute to three honorees who have made significant contributions to the bleeding disorders community:

Rosemary Holmberg, BSN, MBA, Hemophilia Center of Western New York
Leadership in Research Award
Katherine A. High, MD, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Corporate Leadership Award
Baxter Healthcare Corporation
Highlights of the evening included: Alex Borstein, acclaimed actress, writer, and comedienne, who sang two creative songs connecting comedy to hemophilia; Vlad Iftinca and Elliot Madore from The Metropolitan Opera, who performed three beautiful opera selections; Mike Woods, meteorologist for Fox 5's "Good Day New York," who presided as master of ceremonies; and a fun live auction with outstanding prizes.
NHF is also pleased to recognize the outstanding commitment of its Spring Soiree Co-Chairs: Jorge de la Riva, Barbara Gordon, Margaret Ragni, MD, and Ann Rogers. In addition, NHF would like to thank Patrick McMullan who presided as the Leadership Committee Chair, Fred Ferguson who was the Honorary Event Chair, and Drs. Alan R.
