Last month the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) announced the appointment of John Bournas as CEO/Executive Director. Bournas brings more than 15 years of senior managerial experience in the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors and international experience as a diplomat. His areas of expertise include management, business development, healthcare advocacy and cultivating relationships with stakeholders of the highest level of government. Bournas began his new position on January 25th.
Before joining WFH, Bournas was senior director of international affairs with the American College of Cardiology Foundation. Prior to that, he was senior director-international with Cardinal Health in the U.S.
“The WFH is delighted to welcome John Bournas to our team,” said WFH president Mark Skinner. “He brings a unique combination of skills and an international perspective that will be integral to achieving our strategic goals in the coming years.”
